Australians support ‘leadership’ on Antarctica and climate: Hill

Australia along with France and the European Union will be pushing for a major new marine protected area in east Antarctica at an international forum starting in Hobart today.
The sanctuary, which covers a million square kilometres of the Antarctic ocean, was first proposed by Australia more than seven years ago, but it’s been opposed by Russia and China.
Robert Hill is former chair of the Antarctic Science Foundation, he’s a former Howard Government Environment Minister and joins RN Breakfast from Adelaide.
