MOSCOW: To mark the 200th anniversary of the sighting of Antarctica by Russian explorer Admiral von Bellingshausen, Lewis Pugh, UN Patron of the Oceans, Antartica2020 Champion, and endurance swimmer, just completed a swim in a sub-glacial river underneath the East Antarctica ice sheet and has now travelled to Moscow to bring attention to the need for Southern Ocean protection.
